Jordan Walker’s stock is way up after his thrilling win at the MLB Home Run Derby.
Bettors took note and have gotten behind the Cardinals outfielder to take Most Valuable Player honors at the Midsummer Classic.
Walker is 30/1 to win the 2026 All-Star Game MVP, tied for the fifth-shortest odds at BetMGM. However, 22 percent of the money being wagered on that market is landing on Walker, the most of any player in the field.
Kyle Schwarber remains the favorite at 12/1, and Bobby Witt Jr. is getting the most betting tickets, according to John Ewing of BetMGM, but Walker’s story has apparently captured the attention of bettors willing to wager big bucks on him.

It’s a pretty stunning turnaround for a player who was relatively unknown to a wide swath of sports fans before Monday night. But winning the Home Run Derby, especially in dramatic walk-off fashion, can do wonders for a player’s popularity.

AP Photo/Matt RourkeThe 24-year-old is enjoying a breakout season as a first-time All-Star, putting up some of the best numbers in the National League. He leads MLB with 74 RBI at the break, ranks fifth in the NL in homers (22), sixth in OPS (.887), and is tied for sixth in WAR (3.8).
Only two players have won the Home Run Derby and All-Star Game MVP in the same season: Cal Ripken Jr. in 1991 and Garrett Anderson in 2003.
If Walker could pull off that feat, his popularity would hit the stratosphere, taking some very savvy bettors along for the ride.
