A former WWE Superstar has just made a bold declaration against MJF. They claimed that following his recent return, he would get everything that he had coming.
A few days ago, on AEW Holiday Bash, the Salt of the Earth made his return and interrupted the world title match contract signing for Worlds End. He then signed his world title match contract, thus adding himself to the bout at the pay-per-view. This would now be a four-way match featuring him, Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page.
A fan on X/Twitter looked back at the promo battle they all had a few days ago. They claimed that Swerve seemed to be holding himself back on the mic towards the very end. They believed that at the pay-per-view, he might end up hitting Friedman with extra weight. Swerve replied to this and mentioned how this would happen sooner than they thought. He was putting MJF on notice.
"Sooner than you think" he replied.MJF sends stern warning following his return
The former AEW World Champion may have only been away for almost three months, but his return sent the entire wrestling world into a frenzy. Before he went on an absence last time around, Friedman boldly claimed that when he'd return, he would be an even more dangerous version of himself.
Now it seems that he has done just that, as despite being ever so talkative on the mic, he did not shy away from any one of his rivals. He was willing to join this match, as he knew he had what it took to take them all out. After the show, MJF took to X/Twitter and made a bold statement, saying he finally remembered who he was.
I remembered. You’re all f**ked.
The landscape of AEW has just changed massively due to his return. It remains to be seen whether a new world champion will be crowned at Worlds End, or if Samoa Joe finds a way to escape with the title.
