Victor Wembanyama had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, but almost half of his points came from the free-throw line. It was an inefficient night for him, and he had a slow start to Game 1 against the New York Knicks.
The San Antonio Spurs' superstar big man only made two shots in the first half. He did score nine points, but it was tough playing against Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson's defense.
Mitch Johnson is already looking for solutions for Victor Wembanyama's struggles
Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson knows that his superstar did struggle in Game 1. Thankfully, he is already hard at work at knowing what kind of solutions he can deploy in Game 2.
It will be a strong bounce-back performance for the Spurs, as they have been known to do in this postseason run. Since this is the group's first Playoffs together, they will keep learning, which can be scary for the Knicks.

Wembanyama had to play against a motivated duo of Towns and Robinson. A lot of people thought they would be ineffective, but they stepped up and proved the doubters wrong. Now, the Spurs' coaching staff is wrapping their heads around potential solutions.
"We gotta get him moving and spacing towards the rim, whether that's on rolls or running in transition, put more pressure on the rim, and more force in the paint. We need to do a better job of establishing that earlier on, for sure," Johnson said about finding ways to solve Wembanyama's slow start.
It will be a blockbuster series from here. Game 1 was already exciting for both sides of the series, but it seems people have to watch out for Wemby bouncing back after this slow start.
