Minka Kelly gushed over her boyfriend, Dan Reynolds, when asked about him on “The Drew Barrymore Show” — one day after awkwardly shutting down similar questions from Jenna Bush Hager.
During Wednesday’s interview, Barrymore wondered whether the Imagine Dragons singer, 38, has read Kelly’s memoir, “Tell Me Everything.”
The “Champagne Problems” star, 45, explained that her boyfriend actually read her book before they met in person.
The duo had been texting and FaceTiming after being introduced by a mutual friend when Kelly mentioned having recently turned in her manuscript.
“He was like, ‘I wanna read it,’” the actress recalled. “So I was like, ‘Well, okay, well, here you go. You’ll either be terrified and run for the hills, or you’ll see the beauty in all of it.'”
She noted that Reynolds, “fortunately, was the latter,” with the experience making them “closer.”

Barrymore quipped, “God, if we could all come with a dossier about our lives, how amazing would that actually be?”
Kelly and the Grammy winner went public with their romance in 2022 but have primarily kept their love out of the spotlight.
The “Friday Night Lights” alum did, however, share a gushing Instagram tribute for her partner over the summer.
“This beautiful man has healed wounds in me he did not inflict — simply by being himself,” she captioned a selfie in July. “By embodying true masculinity. The kind that is vulnerable, honest and loving.
“His benevolence, his priorities, his values, and his honesty are all rooted in love,” Kelly continued. “Thank you for loving me. Thank you for blessing my life in ways I never thought possible — but always dreamed of.”
She concluded, “I love you, Dan. Happiest birthday to you. Now let’s dance!”
When Bush Hager, 43, asked about the social media upload on Tuesday’s “Jenna & Friends,” Kelly visibly bristled.
“I feel very lucky,” she said shortly, calling Reynolds a “really good guy.”
The “Today” show co-host read the room, replying, “OK, sounds like you don’t want to talk about it. That’s fine.”
Guest host Olivia Munn jumped in to share an anecdote from her experience working with Reynolds for his band’s “Cutthroat” music video in 2021.
Reynolds was previously married to Aja Volkman, with whom he co-parents four children.
As for Kelly’s dating history, she has been linked to comedian Trevor Noah, actor Jesse Williams and more A-listers over the years.
