Starting a new Minecraft world is always an exciting moment for any player; there’s a new world to explore, tasks to be completed, and building new structures to completely transform the blocky world. Players increase the challenge by doing everything in Survival or even Hardcore mode. For those who do not know, dying in Hardcore world results in the loss of all progress.

A Minecraft player, u/Bitter_Benefit6481, made a post on the game’s subreddit showing the progress they made in their Hardcore world over a span of five years. The user posted before-and-after images showing how the coastal town looked on day one and then on day 4,750.

The builder transformed the plain looking coast into a bustling town with lighthouse, bridges, hot air balloon, ships, buildings, houses, and even a central clock tower.

u/FutureNight11 pointed out how the original poster also made the mountain and some other parts of the landscape, which makes the build even more impressive. Making massive structures in Survival or Hardcore mode increases the challenge as the player needs to manually extract every block, place it, and then also plan the entire structure while avoiding hostile mobs.

u/MemoryDisastrous2034 said that while the town looks great, there was a village that existed before. One can see that there were a few houses when the original poster started the world which seems to have gone.

u/CatlynnExists found the build to be very cool and said that they would love to see long-term survival worlds made by the original poster. Massive towns and projects that require years of hard work are often gorgeous to look at.

Amazing projects made in Minecraft

Minecraft is a game that offers players an almost infinite world and hundreds of different blocks that they can use to make anything they want. When it comes to the possibilities, the sky is the limit. Talented builders have made massive cities, towns, countries, castles, bases, etc., in the blocky world.

But making cities and towns are not the only things that can be done in the game world. Using the redstone item, players have made machines that might seem impossible. For example, a player made a powerful computer that can do basic calculation while another made a large-language model very similar to ChatGPT in Minecraft.

Since redstone works like electricity in the game, builders can make circuits that mimic the processor of a computer. However, players need to build complicated networks of circuits to make even a simple processing unit.
