Minecraft Dynamic Crosshair mod, as the name suggests, is a third-party feature that completely changes how crosshairs look. The game has one type of crosshair that is always visible on the screen no matter what you do. From the moment you spawn in the world with nothing in your hands, to having loads of items in each hotbar slot, the crosshair remains the same.

This particular mod adds various crosshairs based on what you are holding. Here are more details about the Minecraft Dynamic Crosshair mod.

Minecraft Dynamic Crosshair mod is a Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge mod that adds various kinds of new crosshairs depending on which block you are looking at, and which item you are holding from the hotbar.

If you look at the first picture, where a player is looking at a grass block, the first crosshair appears when holding a shovel, the second one appears when not holding anything, and the third one appears when holding a pickaxe.

The first crosshair shows that a shovel is the correct tool to mine this block, the second is a generic crosshair, and the third shows that this tool is incorrect for this block.

When aiming towards any mob, an angled crosshair will show up, which looks like a cross sign. This indicates that the creature can be killed. Similar to this, there are loads of different crosshairs for every block and item in the game.

If you do not have any block at arm's reach, or if you are simply looking around with no block near you, the crosshair will vanish, giving you a clearer look.
