New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel wasn't a happy camper on Sunday after the team's 35-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It wasn't just a small loss. This was really a blowout victory for the Jaguars, and that wasn't lost on Vrabel.
According to research from StatMuse, this was actually the biggest loss for the team under Vrabel's coaching since falling 40-7 to the Los Angeles Chargers back on Dec. 28, 2024. So, it makes sense that after the game, Vrabel was furious.
He didn't hold back, either. Speaking with reporters, Vrabel talked about the current state of the Patriots and what New England needs to do to get better and come back from this adversity.

"My concern level is very high for this football team," Vrabel said, according to the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed. "I just want to coach and improve. I think that's the biggest thing when you come off a game like that. You just want to get back and work."
So, for Vrabel, it's about looking toward the future and not the past. Even though this loss stung, he and the team need to look to what's next.
During the game, Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence notched 182 yards and three touchdowns. The Jaguars also clocked 313 total yards. Meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye wrapped up things 14-of-25 for 199 yards, plus he had two interceptions and a lost fumble. It just wasn't the Patriots' day.
Next up, New England takes on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Oct. 3. The Bills are undefeated for the season, so this isn't going to be an easy matchup, but Vrabel certainly hopes the team can somehow, someway pull off a victory.
