The future of Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans has been an interesting storyline to follow over the past month or so.
With the veteran reportedly waiting until after the Super Bowl to decide on his future, we have been eagerly awaiting any update on the Pro Bowler's thoughts on going around again in 2026.
Still such a key piece of the offense, having Evans back is a must for Tampa Bay. But will he be?
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo spoke with Evans' agent Deryk Gilmore on The Insiders, and Gilmore offered this on his client's future.
"Mike started the season in great shape," he said. "Most people in the organization said he probably had the best camp of everyone. He finished feeling better than he has in previous seasons. I think the competitive nature leads to more football. That is my hope. Like most fans, I love watching him play."

Is Mike Evans returning in 2026?
Well, going by his agent's comments, Evans is certainly in the right physical shape to warrant a return.
But let's not get it twisted, this is only Gilmore's "hope" that Evans returns.
Still with plenty of juice in the tank, it seems, maybe there is a good chance that No. 13 goes around one more time with the Buccaneers in 2026.
He had a good finish to the season. Ended it healthy, and if he were to return, he's coming back in the best possible shape.
Who knows, maybe Evans isn't retiring, after all.
