The Michigan Wolverines did damage Monday evening with a major boost to their 2026 recruiting class. They returned to their out-of-state Midwest recruiting haul with a pledge from four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis.
Davis, a St. Louis, Mo. native, marks the seventh pledge of the Wolverines' now-28th-ranked class according to 247Sports.
Davis is Missouri's second-best player and the No. 20-ranked player in the nation, a key get for a class still blossoming with talent under second-year coach Sherrone Moore. Moore led his team to an 8-5 record this past season with a win in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Davis' second choice, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
"I'm home," Davis told On3's Hayes Fawcett upon announcing his pledge. "GO Blue."
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound DeSmet High School product has already turned heads on film, according to Andrew Irvins, 247Sports' Director of Scouting.
"Ascending defensive end with a prototypical frame that could fit into an odd or even front at the next level," Irvins wrote. "Began his prep career playing quarterback before flipping to the other side of the ball and finding instant success in the trenches. Flashes the ability to separate and bypass base blocks with his lateral agility. Not the most destructive defender at this stage, but can find a flat back and shoot his hands to gain extension. Solid get-off frequently gives him an advantage in passing situations. Quick to unleash a bull-rush, but can also rip his way around the corner and has the stride length to finish."

Irvins predicts Davis will be an "impact player" in Ann Arbor. Davis already has championship-level potential, as he guided DeSmet to a state title win this past season and a 12-2 finish.
"Must improve pad level and learn how to bring it every single snap, but appears to be rounding into form as he nearly doubled his production as a junior for Missouri’s 6A champs," Irvins wrote."Projects as a potential multi-year contributor and possible impact player for a College Football Playoff contender. Should offer plenty of alignment flex and could very well end up finding a home on the inside depending on how the body matures."
Davis finished the season with nine sacks alongside 18 TFLs.
It's clear the Wolverines are looking for their next Mason Graham. Whether Davis is it remains to be seen, but it appears his background fits a championship bill.
