Michael Fassbender & Alicia Vikander Couple Up in New Flick
Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander made their return to the red carpet.
The notoriously private couple marked their first public appearance in over a year as they stepped out for the 2026 BAFTA Invest in Talent gala in London on Feb. 12.
For the outing, Alicia stunned in an off-the-shoulder organza gown by Louis Vuitton. For her glam, the 37-year-old put her minimal makeup on display as she wore her long dark tresses in an updo.
Michael was the perfect complement to his wife of eight years as he wore a classic black tuxedo. Keeping their PDA to a minimum, the pair—who welcomed their first baby in 2021 and confirmed the arrival of their second baby in 2024—held each other close as they posed for photos.
The outing marked the first time the pair made a public outing together since 2024. At the time, Michael, 48, and Alicia were hand in hand as they walked the carpet for the 77th British Independent Film Awards. At the time, the had welcomed their second baby just months earlier.
“All women have such different experiences, and going through it a second time was definitely harder for me,” Alicia told Elle in an interview published July 2024. “But I think training made it easier. Going through those nine months is like a marathon, so it does help if you’re strong going into it.”

And while Alicia and Michael have not publicly shared their children’s names, the Ex Machina actress previously revealed how motherhood has changed her life.
"Becoming a parent changes you in a second, when the child arrives," she told E! News in June 2024. "I, for sure, now have a lot more insight and especially all the worries."
The Danish Girl alum continued, "I think it also gives you extra strength because it's like it's beyond you. It's not just you or survival. You need to stay alive to make sure that you can take care of these young children."
