Michael Brennan has made a significant jump in the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship. The American golfer, who ranked outside the top 100 in the OWGR before the tournament, jumped into the top 50 with his win, surpassing some top-ranked golfers such as Jon Rahm.

The Spanish golfer, who now plays on the LIV Golf, is ranked 71st in the OWGR. Meanwhile, Brennan is ranked 43rd, his best ranking of his career.

Notably, Michael Brennan had an impressive time playing on the PGA Tour Americas this year and won multiple tournaments on the circuit. He was ranked outside the top 500 at the start of the year, but as the season progressed, he broke into the top 50.

He was ranked 709th ahead of playing the first tournament of the year on the PGA Tour Americas, the 93 Abierto Del Centro. He jumped from 709 to 593. He made a notable jump in the OWGR after winning the Biosteel Championship, rising from 418 to 260. He then won the CRMC Championship and jumped from 261 to 161, and later won the ATB Classic, reaching number 121 in the OWGR. He jumped 68 spots after winning the Bank of Utah Championship.

Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler is still ranked number one in the world, followed by Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele. Tommy Fleetwood is ranked fifth, while Russell Henley sits in fourth place.

Michael Brennan reflects on his maiden win on the PGA Tour

Michael Brennan opened up about his impressive win at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship during the post-round press conference. He was in the lead after 54 holes and then carded a round of 66 on Sunday to win the event by four strokes.

Speaking of his win, he said (via ASAP Sports):

"I was probably more nervous eating breakfast this morning; a little nervous coming down 18. But it feels amazing. I get that belief from my family and friends, my team. I mean, Jeff, my caddie believes in me I think more than anyone, maybe other than my parents. "He told me ever since we played a great year we're not going to the Korn Ferry Tour, whether it was, I don't know through something like this or Q-School. I can't believe he's right," he added.

Michael Brennan started his campaign at the Bank of Utah Championship with an opening round of 67. He then played the next round of 65. He maintained his impressive form, carding a round of 64 on Saturday, followed by a final round of 66. Rico Hoey settled in solo second place, followed by David Ford, who tied for third place with Thorbjørn Olesen, Ben Silverman, Justin Lower, Pierceson Coody, and Matt McCarty.
