Malik Willis had to step up as the Green Bay Packers' QB1 after Jordan Love was sidelined for failing concussion protocol. The quarterback put up a decent performance, trying his best to help his team secure the win.
However, the Packers ended the night with a disappointing 41-24 loss at home. Malik Willis completed 18 of 21 passes for 288 yards and three total touchdowns. Despite the defeat, two-time All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons had high praise for his backup quarterback.
On X, Parsons shared two tweets talking about Willis' performance against the Ravens. In one post, he complimented him by adding a few fire emojis alongside the quarterback's name.

In another tweet, Parsons shouted out the quarterback and his efforts as Jordan Love's replacement.
"Malik is legit bruh."The Ravens took an early lead in the first quarter after RB Derrick Henry scored a rushing touchdown, with Tyler Loop converting the extra point. However, Malik Willis did not take long to respond, leveling the playing field with a 39-yard passing touchdown to WR Christian Watson.
In the second quarter, Harbaugh's team kept pressuring the Packers with its offensive momentum. Henry scored two more touchdowns while Loop converted two field goal attempts. Willis scored a 22-yard rushing touchdown that minimized the deficit to 27-14 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Brandon McManus scored a 24-yard field goal, followed by another rushing touchdown from Willis. This resulted in the Packers trailing the game by just three points.
However, the Ravens made one final push in the fourth quarter. Tyler Huntley's passing touchdown, followed by Derrick Henry's 25-yard rushing touchdown to secure the win for John Harbaugh's team.
Despite the loss, the Packers have already clinched a playoff spot thanks to the Vikings' Christmas Day victory over the Lions. They are in second place in the NFC North with a 9-6-1 record.

Willis has caught the attention of many after showcasing what he is capable of in Week 17.
After Saturday's game, ex-NFL star Richard Sherman said that the quarterback might find other opportunities coming knocking after the end of the 2025 season.
"Malik Willis is showcasing some ability today. With the right play caller he is really effective. Looks like he may be earning himself another opportunity to start somewhere," Sherman tweeted.Willis was traded to the Packers in August 2024 after spending the first two years of his career with the Tennessee Titans. Last season, he tallied 550 yards and three touchdowns passing in seven appearances.
