Met Gala 2025: Cardi B Debuts New Hair and Eye Color Transformation

Future definitely had one of the most-talked about looks at the Met Gala 2025. Why, you ask?

The rapper debuted a shocking hair transformation for The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual bash in New York City on May 5.

The Grammy winner—typically known for his long, dark dreadlocks—was nearly unrecognizable with a short, bleached hairdo on the red carpet. (See every star on the red carpet here.)

His spiky, cropped locks divided fans who either loved or questioned his unexpected makeover.

"Def thought Future was Wanda Sykes," one X user posted, referencing the comedian, while another echoed similar sentiments with, "future got rid of the dreads and became wanda sykes."

A third critic shared on X, "Future got the blonde Scottie Pippen bush."

As for his ensemble, the 41-year-old rocked gray knitted pants and a matching coat over a white shirt and black tie for this year's menswear-inspired theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." 

Future wasn't the only star to debut a surprising new hairdo at the Met Gala.

Nicole Kidman made fans do a double take while rocking a darker look.

While the Big Little Lies star still had her platinum locks, Nicole debuted a short, neck-length haircut with brunette roots flowing out from beneath the blonde. 

Meanwhile, Cardi B shocked fans by arriving with a new hairstyle and eye color. The "I Like It" rapper channeled a new side of herself in green contacts to match her ivy outfit and completed her ensemble with green nails and a matching trench.
