Met Gala 2025: We Can't Stop (and Won't Stop) Talking About Miley Cyrus' Look

Patrick Schwarzenegger did in fact see Miley Cyrus again.

The Hannah Montana alum made her way inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Benefit in New York City May 5 and turned heads in a stunning all-black look by Alaïa. As the 32-year-old made her way up the blue steps and into the venue, she was in the eyesight of the White Lotus star.

And while the duo didn’t appear to speak as they crossed paths, Patrick, 31, was seen gazing in her direction as she posed for pictures. (See all the stars attending the Met Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art here.)

The brief encounter came 10 years after they ended their brief relationship in 2015, which came as Miley was on a hiatus with her then on-again, off-again relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

However, Miley is currently dating Maxx Morando, while Patrick is engaged to Abby Champion. And while the “Wrecking Ball” singer attended the annual gala solo, Patrick—who donned a black pinstriped suit accented with a yellow silk blouse by Balmain—walked the carpet with his White Lotus co-star Amiee Lou Wood.

For the Sex Education star, Patrick took away some of the nerves she felt during her first Met Gala.

“But Patrick—thank God. He was like, ‘I’m going. Should we go together in the car?’ And I said, ‘Yes, please,’” Amiee told E! News’ Zuri Hall May 5. “So, we came in the car together and that had made everything a lot less scary.”

For Patrick, having his friend by his side for fashion’s biggest night was an added accessory to his tailored look.

“It’s been great,” he told E! News at the Met Gala. “It’s great to come to an event like this with your friend.”

He continued, “It’s kind of terrifying for me to come, I get nervous. So to come with a friend has been nice.”
