Lizzo dazzled with a new blonde 'do as she arrived at the 2025 Met Gala channeling the year’s dress code “Tailored for You” in a bold look.
How to Watch the 2025 Met Gala and 'Live From E!' on TV and Online
The truth doesn't hurt when you look this good.
After all, Lizzo was glowing as she made her way down the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala May 5 with a new blonde look.
For this year's dress code, "Tailored for You," Lizzo arrived in a black and white gown featuring a cascading mermaid skirt and a cropped blazer draping from her shoulders. She accessorized with a cigarette holder. She completed her ensemble with blond bombshell locks and a sultry makeup look. (See all the stars at the gala here.)
The Grammy winner's attendance at the biggest night in fashion comes as she has continued sharing her fitness journey with fans, including her diet changes and workout routines. Despite the inevitable physical changes that came with her lifestyle transformation, she said her decisions were rooted in "release," rather than "loss."
"The weight that is no longer on me is not just fat or physical," Lizzo explained on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast last month. "I released so much to get to this point and I think people can see that and I don't want to describe anything as loss."
"I've gained a sense of self," she continued. "I've gained a lifestyle that I actually really love and I'm like, 'I can maintain this.' I've gained new perspective on nutrition and the science behind cardio and weightlifting."
Although these lifestyle changes are part of a new chapter for the 37-year-old, one thing that she's always been in tune with? Her style—with the help of her team, of course.

"Fashion is an extension, for sure, of my creativity," she told Teen Vogue in 2022. "I think that I like having fun, but I also like being a canvas for people. I think the more I've allowed people to just be artists—like my glam team and creative team—allow them to be artists and me [to] just be the canvas on which they can express themselves, I think the more fashionable I've become by allowing other people to do what they do best."
