A$AP Rocky Steps Out At Met Gala 2025 Moments After Rihanna Pregnancy Reveal
Rihanna didn't walk the 2025 Met Gala red carpet with A$AP Rocky, but she wasn't alone.
A few short hours after she revealed she was pregnant with the couple's third child, Rihanna turned up at the May 5 event in a multipiece-suit-inspired dress by Marc Jacobs that showed off her baby bump. (See all the red carpet fashion at the 2025 Met Gala.)
And A$AP—with whom she shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 21 months—didn't have to work at being happy that the cat was finally out of the bag.
“It feels amazing, you know?” the rapper, who also served as a Met Gala cochair this year, said in an Associated Press video interview. “We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy."
And here people thought that they couldn't be any happier than when Rihanna simply attends the Met Gala, full stop.
But the artist, who revealed her pregnancy with Riot during her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, is known for having a surprise or two up her sleeve at high-profile events.
The response from fans this time around was "amazing," A$AP (whose real name is Rakim Mayers) continued. "Honestly, it’s a blessing nonetheless because you know how some people in other situations at times can be envious of other people, but we’ve been seeing love for the most part. We’re real receptive to that. We appreciate that, you know what I mean? That’s love. Love is love.”

Earlier in the evening, they let the world in on their little secret when artist Miles Diggs posted a stylized portrait of an umbrella-toting Rihanna wearing a belly-skimming two-piece outfit (light blue, hmm) in the street outside New York City's Carlyle Hotel.
A$AP hit the midnight-blue Met Gala carpet moments after the picture went viral, wearing a navy suit he designed himself and Christian Louboutin shoes.
And he was excited to begin with, calling it a "dream come true" to be one of the evening's co-chairs, an honor he shared with Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams and Colman Domingo, as well as honorary (and absentee) chair LeBron James and always-chair Anna Wintour.
"This is beautiful," he told Ego Nwodim and Teyana Taylor for Vogue. "Tonight is so special, especially celebrating Black excellence, dandyism. I'm just happy to be here, you know how that goes."
While he and Rihanna were obviously side by side in spirit (before reuniting inside), see the couples who did hit the 2025 Met Gala carpet together:
