Mercedes Mone takes a huge dig at John Cena after his WWE retirement at SNME 2025

Mercedes Moné has fired a major shot at John Cena following his retirement from wrestling last night at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. This was not all she did, as she also paid tribute to the wrestling icon.

Last night, Cena faced off against Gunther in what would be his final match inside the squared circle. The entire world was tuned in for this major affair, but they would all be left disappointed as the 17-time world champion ended up tapping out to the Ring General.

Earlier today at RevPro Uprising, Mercedes Moné put four of her belts on the line against Rhio. She ended up walking away with a win. At one point in the match, the CEO paid tribute to John Cena by using his "You can't see me" taunt. However, she had a different kind of response on social media as she claimed she was the greatest wrestler to come out of Massachusetts.

"I am the greatest wrestler to come out of Massachusetts! 🤑 #ByeBye #RevProUprising" Moné wrote.

Mercedes is from Boston, while Cena hails from West Newbury. The two have always been vocal about their love for their hometowns.

Mercedes Moné sent a quick message to John Cena before his retirement match

The AEW star went viral on social media for her brief message ahead of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

She was on TikTok live a couple of days ago and was answering questions from the fans. After being asked about Cena's retirement match, she only had one word to say about this, and that was goodbye. Many fans were not happy with this response from her, but it seems like she was saying this in kayfabe.

"Thoughts on John Cena retiring tomorrow? 'Goodbye.'" Moné said.

The Greatest of All Time's loss last night at WWE SNME was bittersweet. But seeing the support that the entire wrestling world showered him with just shows how much impact he had, and how he will forever be etched in wrestling history as one of the greats.
