The crowd at Game 4 of the World Series was more akin to a celebrity banquet than a baseball game.
The stars were out on Tuesday night with Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani on the hill and Los Angeles holding a 2-1 series lead over the Blue Jays. They ranged from basketball royalty to actual royalty on hand for the game.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were seated behind home plate, getting closer spots to the field than Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax and part-owner Magic Johnson.
Harry and Markle sported blue Dodger caps as the Fox broadcast captured the couple smiling and clapping at one point during the game.
MLB’s social media accounts showed Lakers star LeBron James walking into Dodger Stadium with his wife, Savannah.
Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt was also spotted in the stands, as was Johnny Knoxville.
If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the World Series for free.
One of our favorite options is DIRECTV, which offers over 125 channels, including FOX, the MLB network, and ESPN unlimited. Plans start at $49.99/month, but you can start watching for free today with their 5-day free trial.
Actors James Marsden, Austin Butler and Tobey Maguire were also in the stands.
Actress Sydney Sweeney and women’s boxing great Christy Martin were also seen at the game. Sweeney is portraying Martin in an upcoming movie entitled “Christy.”
The actress also narrated Fox’s opening for the Game 4 broadcast.
“Given the setting, it would be appropriate to dust the story in movie magic, right?” Sweeney said in the narration. “Why not romanticize a bit? Place their names exactly where they belong. High above the streets in shining lights. Why not?”
While the crowd may have been stacked with celebs, it didn’t help the Dodgers extend their series lead.
Toronto rallied from an early 1-0 hole and scored two runs in the top of the third and four runs in the seventh inning to take a 6-1 lead going into the eighth before winning 6-2 to even the series.
The Dodgers will be able to enjoy the Hollywood sun for one more game before the series shifts back north of the border to Toronto for Game 6 and Game 7.
