Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has postponed the premiere of her new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” because of the California wildfires, the streaming service said in a statement on Sunday.

“With Love, Meghan,” is hosted and produced by Meghan, who cooks, gardens and landscapes with different guests in “a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California.” The show was set to premiere on Wednesday.

According to Netflix, Meghan requested the show’s release be pushed to March 4 because of “the ongoing devastation caused by the Los Angeles wildfires.”

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Meghan said in a statement.

The fires, which broke out on Tuesday, have killed at least 16 people, displaced thousands of residents and destroyed entire neighborhoods.

On Friday, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, met with survivors and emergency medical workers in Pasadena, where the deadly Eaton fire has been burning in the mountains just north of the city, scorching more than 13,000 acres.

The couple moved to California in 2020 and live in Montecito, about a 90-minute drive north of Los Angeles.

All eight episodes of “With Love, Meghan” were filmed in Montecito, according to Netflix, and feature Meghan hosting, cooking for and chatting with various celebrity friends, including Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, Roy Choi and her “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer.
