Dalton Rushing is coming to The Show.

The Los Angeles Dodgers called up their top hitting prospect on Wednesday, a move that came a bit of the blue but was assumed to be coming soon enough.

Rushing is certainly ready for the big leagues, and now he'll get his first chance.

Who is Dalton Rushing?

Dalton Rushing is a 24-year old who measures up at 5-foot-11, 220 pounds and bats left-handed.

The Dodgers drafted him in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Louisville.

What positions does Dalton Rushing play?

Rushing came up as a catcher, but the Dodgers have been working to build his defensive versatility.

This season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, Rushing has spent some time as a catcher but also appeared in left field and at first base.

Given Will Smith's established role as L.A.'s catcher, it seems Rushing will slot into a different spot at least some of the time.
