With superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo open to exploring other options, the Milwaukee Bucks have the chance to make the blockbuster trade of the decade.
One spot that makes a lot of sense is the San Antonio Spurs. Fansided’s Christopher Kline also proposed this destination, and made it a deal for a former Rookie of the Year, and some elite draft capital. The trade would look a little like this:
Spurs get: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Bucks get: Stephon Castle, 2025 first-rounder (No. 2 overall), future draft capital to be named
“The San Antonio Spurs were once again blessed by the lottery gods, jumping up six spots to No. 2,” Kline wrote. “The obvious pick is Dylan Harper, but San Antonio has two cornerstone guards in De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle. Moreover, the Fox trade was proof that the Spurs want to win now and view Victor Wembanyama as a top-10 player. Why not attempt to parlay that pick into Giannis, a top-2 player?”
This trade would definitely benefit both sides. The Bucks would get the rights to Dylan Harper, who they can build around and hopefully have him become the new face of the franchise, and the Spurs get Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo would pair well with Victor Wembanyama in the frontcourt, and he would be a lob threat when receiving passes from De’Aaron Fox or Chris Paul, if he re-signs.
Overall, this could be the best trade in the draft. While the Spurs don’t have as much capital as other teams, analysts have pointed out they are loaded with young talent, and have a second pick in the lottery. So, even if this trade proposal isn’t the answer, the Spurs still have options to propose to Milwaukee.
