Medical warehouse fire sends plumes of black smoke into air as gas tanks explode in Tracy

A massive fire broke out at a medical warehouse in Tracy on Thursday, leading to gas tank explosions and filling the sky with thick black smoke.

Flames engulfed the Medline warehouse on Promontory Parkway, with video of the scene showing massive plumes of smoke pouring from the structure.

“Medline building is fully engulfed with a second warehouse being threatened,” the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority said. “Crews remain on scene with heavy response apparatus. Please avoid the area and yield to all emergency personnel.”

It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.
