Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was so happy to see Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason wearing her signature Reebok shoes on Monday. Eason put on the Angel Reese 1 "Mebounds" in the Rockets' game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Toyota Center.

In a post on her X, formerly known as Twitter, Reese gave a shoutout to Eason, as well as Tari's mother, for wearing her signature shoes. The WNBA star used the power of the internet to grow her brand by getting the "mebounds" trademarked.

Fans were making fun of Reese for grabbing rebounds from her own missed shots, but she turned it into a business opportunity. It was so good that even one of her biggest haters, Dave Portnoy, praised her for doing it.

"MEBOUNDS LOOK FIREEEE 🔥💕💖💓💞 @TAR13ASON @teroyaeason," Reese tweeted.

Angel Reese was so hyped that she also shared an image of Tari Eason wearing the "Mebounds" shoes on her Instagram stories.

"It's the shoessssss. Meboundssssss," Reese wrote.

Tari Eason was fantastic for the Houston Rockets on Monday, scoring 22 points off the bench. Eason, who is entering the final year of his four-year, $16.3 million contract, hasn't found his rhythm in the Rockets' first two games of the season, but the drought didn't last long. He went 8-for-12 from the field, including 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.

The 24-year-old star has an important role for the Rockets, capable of knocking down shots and making things tough for opposing players. He can start or come off the bench, which gives coach Ime Udoka plenty of lineup options.

Reebok CEO on Angel Reese claiming 'Mebounds'

Speaking to Forbes back in July, Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky praised Angel Reese for embracing the "Mebounds" meme and turning it into a part of her brand. Reese wanted it to be one of the colorways for her first signature shoe because it was a part of her story.

"She’s very smart, but she’s also very aware," Krinsky said. "I’ve had the privilege of working with a lot of athletes in every sport over my years here. And, you know, you have ones that just want to play and just tell me what I’m wearing. And then you have these unicorn athletes that really understand culturally what’s right, what the consumer wants, how they want to be perceived."

In addition to the "Mebounds," Reebok also released colorways called "Diamond Dust," "Receipts Ready," "Charm City" and "King Tiago."
