Max Verstappen's girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, shared a heartwarming glimpse of her family’s holiday celebrations on Friday, posting a photo on Instagram of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree alongside their daughter, Lily Verstappen. Verstappen has been spending time with his family during the F1 off-season, recharging away from the track over the winter.
Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet have been together since 2020 and now live together in the former's Monaco residence, along with Piquet's daughter, Penelope, and their daughter, Lily, who was born in May.
On Friday, Piquet shared an adorable Instagram story featuring the family Christmas tree, adorned with red, gold, and green ornaments, with the baby sitting in front of it. Wrapped gifts also surrounded the base of the tree, highlighting the festive family setting during the holiday season.

The 37-year-old is a model and the daughter of 3-time F1 world champion Nelson Piquet.
Before her relationship with Verstappen, Piquet dated former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat. The two share a daughter, Penelope, who was born in 2019. Lily Verstappen, meanwhile, is the first child shared by Verstappen and Piquet. Since her birth, the couple has largely kept her out of the spotlight and avoided showing her face online due to privacy concerns.
Following the holiday period, Verstappen will soon return to work as the 2026 F1 season approaches. The first pre-season test with the new generation cars is scheduled from January 26 to 30 in Barcelona. The 4x world champion will aim to return to his dominant form in the new era and reclaim the drivers’ title from Lando Norris.

Max Verstappen tests the Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Estoril, Cascais, Lisbon - Dec 17. - Source: GettyMax Verstappen’s GT racing outfit, Verstappen.com Racing, has confirmed a new multi-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport that will see the team switch to Mercedes machinery for its 2026 campaign and beyond. The move was announced ahead of next year’s GT World Challenge Europe season.
Under the agreement, Verstappen.com Racing will compete in both the Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup categories of the GT World Challenge Europe with a Mercedes-AMG GT3, moving away from the Aston Martin machinery used in the team’s earlier outings.
British driver Chris Lulham will return for a second Sprint Cup season alongside Daniel Juncadella, a Mercedes-experienced campaigner and recent signing to the Genesis World Endurance Championship. For the Endurance Cup, the duo will be joined by factory Mercedes driver Jules Gounon, whose inclusion also places the entry in the Pro category.
Max Verstappen himself has already sampled the Mercedes-AMG GT3, testing the car at Estoril on December 17 as part of preparations for the switch. This deal not only expands the Red Bull driver's motorsport footprint beyond F1 but also signals his long-term intent in GT racing, as he has alluded to on numerous occasions.
