Manchester United fans have hit out at Leny Yoro for his performance during their Premier League match against Bournemouth on Monday. Many believe the defender had a subpar outing as the Red Devils played out a staggering 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.
Manchester United started strongly and took the lead after 13 minutes through Amad Diallo, who had the simple task of nodding the ball into an unguarded net after Djordje Petrovic only managed to claw a glanced header from Matheus Cunha.
The Cherries grew in the game as it progressed, and Antoine Semenyo put his side level five minutes before halftime. However, United responded immediately, with Casemiro restoring their lead on the stroke of halftime. That advantage was short-lived, though, as Evanilson restored parity for the visitors just 40 seconds after the restart. In what came as a surprise, United found themselves behind six minutes later as James Tavernier found the back of the net from a free-kick.
Bruno Fernandes responded with his own picture-perfect free-kick in the 77th minute, and Cunha looked to have won it for United only for substitute Junior Kroupi to force a share of the spoils six minutes from time.
Yoro, who spent 69 minutes on the pitch before he was hooked off for Lisandro Martinez, lost possession nine times, won four out of nine duels, and received a match rating of 5.9, according to Sofascore. After the match, fans took to X to criticize his display, with one writing:
“Leny Yoro is not a good footballer.”Leny Yoro is not a good footballer
Another tweeted:
“No idea what people see in Leny Yoro, granted he’s still young but he’s massively overrated.”No idea what people see in Lenny Yoro, granted he’s still young but he’s massively overrated. #MUFC
A third added:
“I rate him highly, but Yoro has been really bad this season.”I rate him highly but Yoro has been really bad this season
One remarked:
“I don't know what happened but to Yoro but he just became equally useless...”I don't know what happened but to Yoro but he just became equally useless...
Yoro all night positioning is really bad ..he's 20 he'll learn but doesn't sniff danger !!

“We are really disappointed” – Ruben Amorim on Manchester United’s 4-4 draw with Bournemouth
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim was unhappy after watching his side surrender a lead three times to settle for a 4-4 draw at Old Trafford. The Portuguese praised the performance of his boys but insisted they weren’t clinical enough. He told BBC Sport after the game:
“It's really disappointing. We are really disappointed. Crazy game. It might look like we lost the two points in the second half but I think we lost them in the first half. We dominated and created so many chances. We had to go to half-time with a different result. In the end we deserved more. It was a fun game for everyone at home. “People especially at Old Trafford want to win but they want to be inspired to see a team play good football. We did that well in certain moments. It was a good performance but we need to be more clinical because created so many chances.”The result meant Manchester United sit sixth in the standings. Next on their fixtures is a trip to Villa Park on Sunday, December 21.
