‘The Masked Singer’s’ Most Shocking Reveals That Made Fans' Jaws Drop
This Masked Singer star bowed out with a surprising royal exit.
On the Jan. 28 episode of the FOX series, Queen Corgi chose to withdraw from the competition mere seconds before it was revealed who had been voted off between her, Cat Witch, Stingray, Galaxy Girl and Karot Carrot.
The contestant’s decision left everyone shocked, with judge Rita Ora exclaiming, “Is this for real?”
Host Nick Cannon was quick to confirm it was, saying, “This has never happened before at this stage.”
Jenny McCarthy added, “You could have gone all the way.”
As for Queen Corgi herself, she explained, “I just feel my time has come.”
“I’ve learned so much about myself, but my time is up,” she continued. “And there’s so many amazing contestants, and I want them to have the best experience. So I am bowing out.”
But who exactly was it that decided to say goodbye? As her clues before the big reveal teased, the star behind Queen Corgi is best known for her comedic chops, explaining in a mock podcast interview that she was originally from New York and had sold out Madison Square Garden.
She also shared that she was a new mom, saying, “I want my baby to grow up knowing no dream is too big.”
But perhaps the biggest clue came about as she was told, “Good luck toasting the competition.”
Toast made another appearance after Queen Corgi’s performance of “Unstoppable” by Sia, which left the judges stunned.
“For somebody who says they don’t usually sing, I think you might need to,” Rita raved, “‘cause that was a really impressive vocal performance. Amazing job.”
While the judges didn’t get a chance to officially guess her identity after she officially withdrew, they did have a few inklings as to who was behind the mask, with Ken Jeong wondering if it could be Amy Schumer while Robin Thicke guessed Whitney Cummings and Rita suggested Ali Wong.
However, all the judges were wrong, as Queen Corgi was revealed to be comedian Claudia Oshry, who is best known for her viral Instagram account Girl With No Job and her daily podcast The Toast.

“As you do, you do things your way,” Nick told Claudia after she was unmasked. “You just came through, gave us some amazing performances, and said, ‘You know what? I’m out.’”
Claudia was touched when the judges told her she could have made it to the end.
“I feel like it wouldn’t be fair to everybody else to keep singing ‘cause I’m so good,” the 31-year-old joked. “My dream is to be a pop star. I got to live out my dream. Box: checked.”
As for why she decided to leave? Part of the decision had to do with her and husband Ben Soffer’s son Reuben, who was born in May.
“My baby needs me,” Claudia shared. “I feel like this time is so special, I wanna be with him.”
Claudia’s decision to unmask herself isn’t the first time a celebrity has done so on the competition series. Mickey Rourke withdrew from season four, Linda Blair unmasked herself on season eight and Kevin Hart revealed himself as part of a prank during season 11.
The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
