Martha Stewart, 84, Addresses Plastic Surgery Rumors
Martha Stewart is feeling pretty in pink.
The lifestyle expert debuted an unexpected hair transformation, trading in her signature light blonde blocks for rose gold pink look, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, for the end of summer.
"Welcome to the rose gold era," Appleton captioned the joint Aug. 9 post, which playfully used audio of Meryl Streep speaking as her character Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada 2 as "Vogue" by Madonna played in the background.
"Pull yourself together—we have work to do," Stewart, 85, lip synced in the clip. "And by 'we,' I mean 'you.'"
Needless to say, the Martha Stewart Living founder's followers were big fans of her drastic new 'do.
"Omg how does she consistently LOOK BETTER," one person commented, while another remarked, "Such a pretty color on her! Nailed it!"
Stewart's transformation comes after she got candid about rumors that she's gotten plastic surgery to maintain her ageless appearance.
"Everybody insists that I've had plastic surgery and I have not ever had plastic surgery," she told People in an interview published in January. "I'm the most honest person on earth—but if they won't take my word for it, I don't know."
"How can they not take my word for it?" she added. "That's the truth!"
However, Stewart did share how a plastic surgeon operated on her face, but not necessarily for the reasons that one might assume.
"I had to be at Today at 7 a.m. and there was a big blizzard," she explained. "I leaned down in my dark kitchen to kiss the dogs goodbye. I put my head down to one of my French bulldogs and I frightened her and she bolted up."
"She didn't bite me,” Stewart continued. “She bashed my lip into my tooth and split it from my lip almost all the way to my nose and blood started gushing out all over the dog. This is 11 p.m. in a blizzard. This is the only time I've ever missed an appearance."

So, as she saw it, while she did have to get a plastic surgeon's expertise, it was a far cry from getting cosmetic surgery.
"I get to the hospital and I think they did 16 stitches in my lip," she said. "I can't call that plastic surgery, that is a repair. It's a terrible, terrible, terrible split lip... you cannot see. I healed so well. That is the extent of a plastic surgeon working on my face."
