The next Mark Henry has been revealed by a former WWE champion. The WWE Hall of Famer established himself as one of the best big men in pro wrestling and had a storied career.
A former World Heavyweight Champion, Henry had a 25-year run in WWE and feuded with some of the company's top stars during this time. While he is retired from active in-ring competition, his replacement could be on the way.
During an appearance on The Wrestling Classic, former WWE European and Intercontinental champion D'Lo Brown said that Mark Henry's son Jacob is already stronger than his father at this age, and once he's done with football, he could replace his father in the squared circle.
"Right now, Jacob is playing football at the University of Oklahoma, but when he’s done playing ball, he’s gonna be Mark Henry 2.0. And Jacob right now, and Mark, he won’t admit this, but Jacob is stronger than Mark was at the exact same age, which is scary," he said.John Cena's last opponent leaked? Check here!
D'Lo Brown, who was Henry’s former stablemate in the Nation of Domination in WWE, also claimed that Jacob will be more ready to step up in the ring, having watched his father for years.
"He’s got Mark’s charisma, and he’s a 100 steps ahead of where Mark was in terms of being in front of the crowd because he got to grow up watching his dad be there, and, 'Okay this is what I want to do.’ So, he’s going to be such a natural. Wait till that second generation steps in the ring, he’s gonna destroy people," he added. You can watch the interview below:
Jacob Henry is currently playing football at the University of Oklahoma and signed an NIL deal with WWE earlier this year. This suggests that he may follow in his father's footsteps pretty soon.
WWE star credited success to Mark Henry
Jade Cargill recently credited her success to Mark Henry. This came after she won the WWE Women's Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event last weekend.
The World's Strongest Man congratulated Cargill on her Title win on Instagram, and she responded with an emotional message.
She wrote that this would not have been possible without Henry and thanked him. Cargill has previously mentioned how the Hall of Famer helped her get in touch with various wrestling promotions when she started out.
