It's happening. Maybe.
Harry Ford was removed from the Triple-A Tacoma lineup on Thursday night, and Seattle Mariners fans were tuned in to the implications almost immediately.
After about half an hour, Mariners reporters began confirming the news: Ford was en route to join the MLB club.
The star catching prospect isn't officially being promoted yet. The Mariners still need to decide if Mitch Garver is going on the injured list.
But given that they've got Ford traveling, it seems likely Garver will go on the IL and Ford will get a spot.

Ford may not catch much, given Cal Raleigh is having the best hitting season ever by a catcher.
But the athletic Ford can also play the outfield if needed.
The 22-year old Ford was the 12th overall pick in the 2021 draft out of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia.
This season at Triple-A, Ford has batted .311 with 12 doubles and eight homers.
Last season at Double-A, Ford stole 35 bases, but he only has three swipes this year.
He's got huge big league potential, and even if he doesn't have any obvious roster fit right away in Seattle because of Raleigh, it's exciting that he's on the verge of his MLB debut.
