The San Antonio Spurs have been one of the NBA's most successful teams over the past three decades. A big reason behind that success is their legendary group of players, which is headlined by Tim Duncan and David Robinson.
In the current state of the Spurs, they have another generational talent in Victor Wembanyama. As a franchise that loves continuity and legacy, it seems the iconic frontcourt duo has constantly been in Wemby's ear.
Manu Ginobili speaks about how the Spurs' icons are helping Victor Wembanyama
The two big man icons in Spurs history must play a role in the current superstar's progress. This is huge for Wemby's development because he will learn plenty of useful lessons, including what to do in the NBA Finals.
He could use that information now because the Spurs are down 2-0 to the New York Knicks. It will be some useful advice for now, but moving forward, Wembanyama is in a good spot because he will keep developing under the tutelage of the Spurs' biggest legends.

As a fellow Spurs icon, Manu Ginobili is often around the team. He has given people a glimpse into how their two biggest icons help their budding legend develop and grow.
"They come often. They come often to the team. Especially in the summer. Once the season starts, we leave them space. They are always a resource; they are always available; we're always available. That young man doesn’t need much. He has the whole package. He’s incredible, and he’s so mature for being 22," Ginobili said about their relationship with Wemby.
As Wembanyama's career progresses, he will have a lot of people in his ear. However, he will always have some of the most respected players ever mentoring him as part of the Spurs organization.
