Maniani World makes global debut at Anime Expo 2025

Frontier Works is teaming up with globally acclaimed illustrator Maniani to showcase their original brand “Maniani World” at Anime Expo 2025, taking place July 3–6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This marks the brand’s first major global exhibition, and fans are in for a frightfully adorable treat.

Located at Booth SH-4908 in the South Hall, the “Maniani World” exhibit will feature a world premiere of exclusive merch inspired by Maniani’s signature “Kowaii” (scary + cute) style. Attendees can pick up items like Shadow Cat acrylic stands, hologram can badges, keychains, T-shirts, and a new illustration book. Fans visiting the booth can also get a first look at a limited-edition skateboard deck, which will be available made-to-order exclusively through Animate International. Preorders run from June 6 to July 28 via Animate International, with restrictions in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

Exclusive Giveaway and Animate GROUP Collaboration

In collaboration with the “animate GROUP” booth (SH-504), Frontier Works will distribute ticket-style cards at their exhibition area. Attendees who present the card at the “Maniani World” booth can receive a special commemorative giveaway, available in limited quantities each day on a first-come-first-served basis.

Don’t miss the “Maniani World” panel titled “Frontier Works Presents: The Visual Expressions Hidden in the Characters of Maniani World,” taking place on July 3 from 5:15 PM to 6:05 PM in Room 402AB. Yuka Mochizuki, Creative Director at Frontier Works, will delve into the visual storytelling behind Maniani’s characters and explore what makes these “scarily cute” monsters resonate with fans worldwide.
