A maniac repeatedly slashed a stranger with a boxcutter when the two inadvertently bumped into each other inside a Brooklyn subway station Monday afternoon — and now the suspect is free on bail, cops and sources said.
Caleb Polidore, 26, allegedly slashed a 33-year-old man in the face, neck and chest inside the 53rd Street R train station in Sunset Park around 1 p.m., police said.
The wild attack stemmed from an accidental bump as the two strangers passed each other near the turnstile area, police sources said.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, and Polidore ran off, only to be arrested nearby by quick-acting cops who also recovered the boxcutter, authorities said.
He was charged with assault, attempted assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment, according to a criminal complaint.
The wild attack stemmed from an accidental bump between the men, sources said. Paul MartinkaPolidore was ordered held on $3,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond – over prosecutors’ request for $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, the DA’s office said.
He quickly posted bail and is due back in court on Jan. 2, according to prosecutors and online records.
