Man Utd open to lowering price to force exit for club 'misfit'

3 hours ago 1

Manchester United are desperate to sell several players this summer, as an overhaul is needed to try and get results.

Ruben Amorim is making statement signings, the first being Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton. Amorim is hoping to wrap up a deal for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo soon.

With multiple high-profile transfers, United need to drum up funds by selling a few players. Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho are all slated to depart the club this summer.

Garnacho has been in the headlines recently and United's hierarchy has made another decision regarding his future.

What decision was made about Garnacho's future?

The club leaders have decided to slash Garnacho's asking price, which will still give United a pure profit should a sale be made. According to reports by Daily Star, United's officials are outraged by Garnacho and have deemed him a "misfit."

The club has valued the winger at £60m, but they will likely have to accept offers that are lower than their asking price. The same report suggests that offers might be around the £45m mark, which the club will accept if it means offloading the Argentine.

Garnacho's recent social media stunts have put him at odds with Amorim, and other managers might feel he poses a risk to their squad. The winger still possesses great talent, but his attitude has deemed him unfit for the club's overhaul.

The profit from Garnacho and others will hopefully give Man United a boost to make the adjustments they want to the squad. There is still hope of signing a striker, with desires to also sign a new midfielder and wing-back. United are also considering a goalkeeper to replace Andre Onana.
