Manchester City must put Champions League disappointment behind them when they take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
City lost 2-1 to Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night to conclude a 5-1 aggregate defeat in the Round of 16.
Pep Guardiola's side have fallen nine points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race and face Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup next month.
The opportunity to get some silverware on the board after a trophy-less campaign last season is a big one for Guardiola's much-changed squad, although City are winless in six matches against Arsenal.
Guardiola has an almost fully fit squad to choose from as he attempts to put a dent in the Gunners that could yet have ramifications beyond Sunday's showpiece.

- Injury: Groin
- Expected return date: March 22 (vs. Arsenal)
Haaland was back among the goals with a scuffed effort against Madrid in midweek, but was substituted after 55 minutes. Guardiola offered assurances over the striker's fitness after the game, despite indications of groin soreness. "We've had two days off, I'm pretty sure he is ready," he said when asked about Haaland at his pre-match news conference for the final.
Josko Gvardiol
- Injury: Tibia fracture
- Expected return date: May/June
Man City suffered a brutal blow in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, as the opening match of 2026 brought with it terrible news. Defender Gvardiol, who has been a pillar of consistency for City in recent seasons, went down in the second half with a tibia fracture, confirmed by the club the following day.
City confirmed that Gvardiol underwent surgery for the broken leg. While there is very little known at this point about a potential timeline for Gvardiol's return, it is believed to require a long-term recovery, and it's possible he will miss the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
