There have been some more details revealed about Chelsea Green's contract extension with WWE. The Hot Mess reportedly reached a new deal with the promotion earlier this year.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Chelsea Green and the promotion worked out the new deal in January 2025. WWE approached Green well before her contract was set to expire to work out a new deal. The report noted that sources confirmed that the new day is for five years, meaning that she is signed with the company until 2030.
Chelsea Green is aligned with Piper Niven and Alba Fyre on SmackDown. Piper Niven recently suffered an injury that is set to keep her out of action for the foreseeable future. Green and Fyre challenged Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the Women's Tag Team Championships on the September 19 edition of SmackDown, but came up short. Bliss and Flair successfully defended the titles against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria last night on RAW.

Vince Russo suggests Chelsea Green is too good for WWE
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently suggested that Chelsea Green was too good for WWE television.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown show, Russo stated that the inaugural Women's United States Champion was one of the best stars on the roster and that the promotion had no idea how to book her correctly.
The legend pointed out how Green never broke character during a segment and suggested that she was too talented as a performer to be in the promotion.
"So freaking good. I was watching her closely tonight. Even when her opponents are coming to the ring, she doesn't stop. She never breaks character. She is always in freaking character. God, she's too good for that company, man," Russo said.Chelsea Green will always be a national treasure 😂 #Smackdown
Green became the inaugural Women's United States Champion by defeating Michin in the finals of a tournament in 2024. She had an impressive reign before losing the title to Zelina Vega earlier this year. Giulia has since captured the title and is the reigning Women's United States Champion on WWE SmackDown. It will be fascinating to see what the promotion has planned for Green moving forward.
