Calling the award special, she said that her teammates were her biggest support. Stating that being recognized for the award is cool, she said:
"My name is Bergen Reilly and I'm a first team All American. It's really special. I mean, I have such a great group of girls around me and I couldn't do it without them. And we always say that all the individual awards are team awards, truly. And I couldn't do it, especially as a setter. I couldn't do it without great passers and great hitters. So it's just really cool to be recognized in this way. It was so much fun," said Bergen Reilly. She added:
"We just had such a great group, a great group of coaches and just really a fun and free season. And it was just so special to be a part of. I want to obviously thank my family, but especially just my coaches. I think that they really found another gear in me this year and I knew I had it in me, but I needed them to bring it out of me a little bit. And so I just couldn't have done it without them. And then my teammates around me too, they're just, they're so special and it was such a fun group."Bergen Reilly was recently appreciated by her teammate Harper Murray, who called her the 'best setter' she has ever played with.
