The Orlando Magic could be ready to improve upon their 2-4 record over the next few weeks, starting with a matchup against the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
Orlando's 2025 All-Star Paolo Banchero and star ex-Memphis Grizzlies trade acquisition Desmond Bane will aim to keep the team above water after receiving word that Orlando would be making a few lineup changes.
According to Magic beat reporter Jason Beede, the Magic will likely be keeping Franz Wagner active and reinserting Jalen Suggs into the lineup against Washington after a short time away.
"Jalen Suggs is back off the Magic injury report for Saturday’s game at Washington," Beede shared via X/Twitter on Friday.
"So is Franz Wagner, who was dealing with a left heel contusion Thursday at Charlotte (Hornets)."
"Beyond Moe Wagner, a clean report for Orlando"
Though Moe Wagner will continue to sit out with a left knee injury, his brother Franz and Orlando's 2024 All-Defensive Second Team selection Suggs will make an immediate impact to hopefully lead the Magic back towards the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
Suggs got off to a blistering hot start to begin his 2025-26 season on the offensive end, as he averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 assists on a ridiculous 83.5% true shooting percentage through four games.
As for Wagner, he has contributed an efficient 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in six games to start the new campaign.
With both uber-efficient difference-makers possibly suiting up against the Wizards on Saturday, the Magic will have a golden opportunity to get back on track.
