The Players Championship series resumed on Tuesday, as PC 27 took place.
Many of the sport's biggest stars were at the event, including Luke Littler, who played in his first PC event of 2026.
However, his streak of ranking wins came to an end, as he fell short against the eventual winner on the day.
Luke Littler handed second ranking loss of 2026 in PC 27
It wasn't a poor day by any means for Littler, as he made it all the way to the quarterfinals in PC 27.
He took down Archie Self, Arno Merk, William O'Connor and Chris Dobey, before losing to PC 27 winner Jermaine Wattimena in the quarterfinals.

He had one 100+ average on the day, coming against Arno Merk in the second round (105.12).
Littler had yet to play in a PC event before today (in 2026) and now has a lot of work to do if he wants to try to qualify for the PC Finals in November.
He's still £22,250 short of the last provisional qualifier right now, meaning he needs to try and make a run to the final tomorrow to set himself up within striking distance at any remaining PC events he plays in.
Littler had previously only lost one ranking match this year, which was against Niels Zonneveld in an ET event earlier this year. He's been perfect so far at ranking majors, winning the World Championship, World Matchplay and a few other major events.
Wattimena's win on the day helped him move into the top-16 on the OoM. We also saw runner-up Kevin Doets move up to world #29.
