Luka Dončić records one of the most absurd statlines of all time

The Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Utah to face the Jazz in what, seemingly, was a very winnable game going into it.

It was the Lakers' second game without star Austin Reaves, and they also took the opportunity to rest some other guys with lingering injuries like DeAndre Ayton and Gabe Vincent.

This game became anything but very winnable. Utah came out and gave it everything they had in what turned out to be a dogfight down the stretch.

LeBron James had another game where he slowly started looking like himself again, posting 28 points, but the story of the night was clearly Luka Dončić as he posted one of the most insane stat lines in NBA history.

Luka Dončić's triple-double one of the greatest ever

Luka Dončić had one of those nights that not only remind everyone what an absolute weapon he is, but also reinforce that when he takes the floor, we're witnessing the MVP of the league this season.

Dončić went out tonight and recorded 45 points, 14 assists, 10 rebounds, and a whopping five steals. This is not only one of the impressive stat lines of the season, but one of the craziest triple-doubles in the history of the league.

Per @ESPNInsights:

Players with a 45-point triple-double and 5 steals in a game since steals became official in 1973-74:

Dončić became just the second player ever to post a 45-point triple-double while also recording five steals.

His performance on the court this season begs two questions. One, how in the world are Lakers fans so incredibly lucky? Two, what in the world was Nico Harrison thinking? The world may never know.
