Turns out, Luka Doncic made multiple pieces of Los Angeles Lakers history on Monday night.
Guess that makes sense -- he did score 46 points and dish out 11 assists. That doesn't happen all that often.
The first record belonged to George Mikan. Doncic broke his record for fastest Lakers player to ever reach 2,000 points in the purple and gold.
It took Mikan 72 games. Doncic needed just 65.

The other mark Doncic put up on Monday had to do with Kobe Bryant.
Doncic became the second player in Lakers history to have a game with at least 45 points, 10 assists and five made 3-pointers.
The first to do it had been Bryant, according to the NBA's official social media channels.
Doncic, for good measure, made eight 3-pointers to go with his 46-11. He also had seven boards.
An absolute masterclass from Luka!

Not that there was a ton of question over whose team the Lakers were when the season started, but clearly, this is Luka's landscape.
The Lakers will go as far as he takes them. And when he plays like he did on Monday, he might just take them very far.
