If you were to anglicize Jesus Made's name, it would explain the overwhelming excitement the Milwaukee Brewers and their fanbase have over their Dominican shortstop prospect.
Made is one of the best young players in baseball. On ESPN's top-100 prospect list unveiled Tuesday by Kiley McDaniel, Made slots in as the No. 3 prospect in all of the sport.
There only two players ahead of Made are:
- Konnor Griffin, SS, Pirates
- Kevin McGonigle, SS, Tigers
Made is younger than either, giving him even more of a blank canvas to grow into.

McDaniel sums Made up like this: "An almost unbelievably gifted, unique player whose ceiling isn't even clear yet."
That's got to be incredibly inspiring for the Brewers.
"Made split the 2025 season (which he started as a 17-year-old) between both A-ball levels with a five-game taste of Double-A, posting a .792 OPS with 47 stolen bases," McDaniel writes. "That isn't a giant OPS, but he was the age of a high school senior, and his underlying exit velos (already better than MLB averages!) show that with an adjustment to his swing plane, Made could have impact in-game power with a slight adjustment."

The power-speed combination could one day be one of the best in the majors.
And wait, don't skip over that part where McDaniel writes that Made's underlying exit velocities are already better than MLB averages while playing as the age of a high schooler against older competition.
"After a source said in August 2024 that Made could be a superstar, I'm now even more sure that this is true: He might have five plus tools by the end of his blitz through the minor leagues," McDaniel writes.
The Brewers will be counting down the days until Jesus Made's arrival.
