Lions vs. Commanders inactives: Who's in, who's out for divisional round game

3 hours ago 1

The Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders have released their lists of inactives ahead of the divisional round showdown at Ford Field on Saturday night.

Ahead of the game, the Lions ruled out guard Kevin Zeitler, defensive lineman Pat O'Connor and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. The rookie was downgraded to out hours before kickoff after the team didn't activate him from injured reserve. The Lions did not have any players listed as questionable.

Zeitler will be replaced by rookie guard Christian Mahogany, who has one career start under his belt. Mahogany played fantastic in place of guard Graham Glasgow in Week 16 and has the confidence of head coach Dan Campbell.

"We thought that was a good showing by him and it’s worthy of, if it goes there to give him a shot," Campbell said of Mahogany, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. "But then there again, we got (Kayode Awosika) as well who’s played snaps, played playoff snaps for us and we trust him as well so we feel like we’re in good hands."

The only semblance of a surprise for the Lions is quarterback Hendon Hooker being inactive. The Lions are going with the experience and will have veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater backing up Jared Goff. Hooker will serve as Detroit's emergency third quarterback.

The Commanders ruled out linebacker Jordan Magee on Thursday and have since placed him on injured reserve. Also on Saturday, Washington activated tight end Colson Yankoff off injured reserve.

The only player listed as questionable, linebacker Mykal Walker, is officially active. Now, here's the full list of inactive for both teams.
