Linda Perhacs’ co-producer gives troubling update on search for missing singer

Linda Perhacs’ co-producer, Fernando Perdomo, revealed he’s lost touch with the missing singer’s next of kin.

Perdomo gave the troubling update about the search for the 82-year-old folk music legend in an Instagram video Monday.

“We’ve all been in touch with her since she’s been in a home for memory care, and we even performed with her two years ago for her 80th birthday party,” Perdomo explained.

The guitarist explained, “Basically about six weeks ago, I did a podcast called the ‘Dolls’ podcast with Abigail Devoe, and I was excited to talk to [Perhacs], so I gave her a call and found out that she had been moved out by her next of kin, and because of California law they can’t tell us where she is.”

Perdomo claimed that they used to be in contact with Perhacs’ next of kin — but now he’s not answering their phone calls.

“I think he might have blocked us,” Perdomo said, “which is really, really weird.”

Perdomo noted they “need to find” Perhacs and shared “the good news” that one of his clients helped them do an official report with Adult Protective Services.

“But we need help, so if anybody could help, please write Laurel Stearns at the email that’s above, or DM Linda on Facebook or on Instagram,” Perdomo added.

“Thank you so much. We will find her.”

The Adult Protective Services Program of the Aging and Disabilities Department in the County of Los Angeles told Page Six in a statement, “We do not disclose any information about specific individuals, including whether someone is or was an adult protective services client due to confidentiality laws.”

“While we cannot comment on the individual circumstances, we do respond to reports of abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions, and in that case, our social workers provide resources and options depending on the circumstances,” the statement added.

Perhacs has been missing since she was discharged from a Los Angeles-area residential care facility eight months ago, her friend Mark McNeill revealed Monday.

“Since then, friends and longtime collaborators have been unable to reach her and repeated attempts to contact her guardian have reportedly gone unanswered,” McNeill explained in an Instagram statement.

The online radio station co-founder asked his followers to reach out to Stearns, who was Perhacs’ former manager, if they have “verified information regarding Linda’s whereabouts or current means of contact.”

On Tuesday, Stearns told Page Six: “We are taking all measures. Our priority here is to get the word out and make sure that she is safe and comfortable.”

Perhacs is best known for her debut album, “Parallelograms,” which was released in 1970 and grew in popularity after it was rediscovered nearly three decades later.

She released two more albums, “The Soul of All Natural Things” in 2014, and “I’m a Harmony” in 2017.
