Aside from his burgeoning basketball career, Jaylen Brown has risen in prominence as an online personality. In a recent collaboration with rapper and content creator DDG, the Boston Celtics star dropped some interesting sound bites about his life on and off the court.
In one viral clip, DDG brings up the so-called act of "foul-baiting." Responding to this topic, Brown said that there were levels to drawing fouls while also naming some NBA players who take it to the extreme.
"There's a difference between drawing a foul and flopping," Brown explained. "Everybody does it...Embiid, Harden, Luka, Jokic, LeBron. LeBron be flopping."•

The mention of LeBron James drew a chuckle from DDG. Brown, however, took a more serious tone when he shared his insights on this phenomenon.
"The reality is, unless you flop, I feel like the officials won't give it to you," he shared. "We know the NBA's entertainment. You might as well work on your acting skills and just start flopping."Brown, a one-time NBA champion and four-time All-Star, then quipped that he'll be going in this direction as well.
"I'm about to be on it, too," the 2024 Finals MVP commented. "Why not? Everybody else is doing it."Brown, of course, is better known for his athletic drives to the basket than any shenanigans on the defensive end. If anything, the 29-year-old forward has been knocked for not showing consistency as a stopper on the perimeter.
He might have thrown in a joke or two in those comments to DDG, but NBA fans now have firsthand insights on the prevalence of flopping, straight from an NBA star himself.
"Curry's not beating me": Jaylen Brown declares that he can beat 4x NBA champion in one-on-one competition
Among the many other topics that Brown and DDG talked about, the subject of Steph Curry came up. With no hesitation, Brown declared that he was capable of defeating the four-time NBA champion in a one-on-one game.
Jaylen Brown: “[Steph is] too small.” | DDG: “I don’t agree with that.” | JB: “In 1-on-1? Curry's not beating me.” 👀
Brown, of course, still has an ax to grind with Curry, who led the Warriors to a six-game conquest of the Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals. Curry went on to win Finals MVP, the same award that Brown would garner two years later.
