LeBron James and Myles Garrett have a long history together and both came from the Cleveland area, so it's no surprise that James was excited about Garrett's latest honor.

On Thursday, the NFL unveiled the No. 1 player on the league's Top 100 Players of 2026 list, and it was Garrett. The Los Angeles Rams have to be over the moon about the honor going to their newest star.

Following the news breaking, James didn't waste any time responding. He sent out a one-word message to Garrett over the NFL win.

James took to X to repost the announcement from the NFL about Garrett, with the one-word response, "YESSIR!!!!" He also included a bunch of emojis, including lots of fire ones.

It's worth noting that the Los Angeles Rams also responded to the news. How could they ignore it? The team took to Instagram to share an image of Garrett posing as the No. 1 player in the league with the caption, "Top of the top."

Some of the comments were saying that the Browns should get credit, of course.

"He did this on the Browns I fear you cannot take the credit," one said.

"He pulled that on the Browns you can't claim it," another added.

But, it's still a great sign for Los Angeles.

Now, the season is starting, and the Rams get to see what Garrett can bring to their defense. This team is going to be hard to beat. The Rams snagged Garrett after the player was traded from the Cleveland Browns on June 1. Garrett went to Los Angeles in return for Rams outside linebacker Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round draft pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick.
