Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James provided an update on his health Tuesday after a long stretch of games.

James, who appeared on his Mind the Game podcast with guest Tyrese Haliburton, said he feels good.

"I didn't know if I was going to make it through them," James said. "But I came out of it feeling really good."

LeBron and the Lakers played two sets of back-to-backs the week of Jan. 12. He said the stretch of games was difficult of his body, but that he's responding well to the wear and tear.

"Honestly, I don't know even how I'm doing it," James said. "I'm just trying to squeeze as much juice as I can out of the lemon."

LeBron missed the start of the season due to a sciatica injury. He said the recovery process was difficult, as he missed all of training camp and preseason.

"It took a lot out of me," he said. "That was tough, seeing if it was going to be able to respond."

James, 41, has played in 28 of the Lakers' 47 games this season, but has stayed healthy lately. He's only missed one game since Jan. 1, which was on the second night of a back-to-back. He said the long hours of travel and preparation take a toll on players during the season.

"The back-to-backs, they wear on you just because of the travel," he said. "All the minutes I've played, all the cities I continue to go to each and every year."

The Lakers (28-17) return to action Wednesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
