LeBron James continues to baffle and impress JJ Redick with his elite longevity

The Los Angeles Lakers had to play the Washington Wizards on Monday without superstar Luka Doncic. It was a suspension for accumulating technical fouls and his constant arguments with the referees.

In Doncic's absence, the Lakers needed someone to step up. Thankfully, the Lakers still have LeBron James on the roster, who had a superb performance. He had a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists to lead them to the win.

JJ Redick keeps showing his love for LeBron James' strengths

As one of the most accomplished players in NBA history, LeBron has always continued to be a fantastic player in his 40s. Now that he is 41, LeBron has truly slowed down, as he is no longer playing at the highest level of basketball.

However, he does have some flashes where he shows that he is still an elite talent. Monday's game against the Wizards was proof that if LeBron can lock into the game, he can still have an elite performance.

As his current coach and a former peer, Lakers head coach JJ Redick is always in awe of what he sees from LeBron. He entered the NBA later than LeBron, but he is now coaching him after retiring from the league.

That is the type of longevity that LeBron has shown throughout his 20+ year career. Moving forward, it seems he is still playing high-level basketball, and Redick has continued to be amazed by that achievement.

"He's very praise-worthy. I don't know what to say about him at this point. I've tried to give every version of the same soliloquy about his longevity, but I don't have anything about it tonight," Redick said about why he continues to be baffled by LeBron's longevity.

The Lakers continue to be one of the most interesting teams ahead of the postseason. With Redick at the helm, they have a strong tactical foundation, and since Doncic plays for them, they have a superstar who can carry them.

Adding LeBron's veteran leadership and savvy to that only makes them tougher to beat. As the Playoffs get closer, the Lakers become more dangerous.
