Latest power rankings comes with horror Ravens reality for Lamar Jackson

1 hour ago 2

The Baltimore Ravens are entering a new era under Jesse Minter, and it is one that will be pressure-packed from Day 1.

With Minter having a prime Lamar Jackson, along with other top offensive weapons, and a defense that, under his guidance, should improve, the expectations are just as high in 2026.

Despite the coaching changes, the Ravens under Minter are expected to challenge for the Super Bowl, with Lamar playing a big role in it.

And for NFL.com's Eric Edholm, he has the Ravens at No. 15 in his latest power rankings, but it comes with a potential reality for Lamar that is pure nightmare fuel.

"Jesse Minter inherits a team that could go a long way with the right tweaks and upgrades, but that’s assuming he’s getting the best version of Lamar Jackson," Edholm wrote. "If Jackson returns to form and Minter can get the best out of the defense, Baltimore should be a contender once again. But if not? It could be a harder rebuild than initially imagined."

Is everything on Lamar in 2026?

It seems to be.

We have seen how the Ravens operate when Lamar is healthy compared to when he isn't. And Minter is going to have to figure out how he can get the most out of his best weapon in 2026.

If things go smoothly with Jackson and his new offensive coordinator, then the 2026 season could be rather fruitful, injuries permitting.

However, if Lamar struggles for health again, and the Ravens have another down year, the thought of a rebuild with a prime Jackson isn't what Baltimore wants, nor its fans.

So, like it or not, the Ravens' entire 2026 success could hinge on one player, and that's Lamar.
