The New York Knicks faced a tall task Sunday afternoon, facing the San Antonio Spurs who were in the midst of an 11-game win streak.

That said, they dominated on the defensive end, holding the Spurs to just 89 points in what ended as a 25-point victory.

Mikal Bridges led the way on both ends of the floor, scoring a team-high 25 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and a whopping five steals.

New York tallied 13 steals in total, with Landry Shamet also recording multiple.

Following the game, Shamet spoke about the team's defensive success, saying: "Our physicality was really encouraging tonight. I've been saying all year, we're at our best defensively when we're dictating and not reacting."

In addition to a great defensive effort as a unit, the Knicks also shared the ball offensively. The team finished with 27 assists on 43 made field goals. Every starter finished in double-figures, as well as Mohamed Diawara who posted 14 points off the bench.

With the win, the Knicks have now won four of their last five games and sit one game behind the Boston Celtics for second place in the Eastern Conference as a result.

New York also moved to 23-8 at home, improving on one of the strongest home records in the league.

Defeating the Spurs also marked two out of three against San Antonio this season, including their In-Season Tournament Championship victory.

Following Sunday's game, New York will travel to Toronto for their next matchup Tuesday against the Raptors.
