The Baltimore Ravens found themselves in a situation no NFL team wants to be in during their Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans, as franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson was forced to leave after taking a hard hit just before halftime.

Jackson was sacked by Titans defensive end Jermaine Johnson II when another defender came onto his left ankle. He was able to finish the first half and completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns, but he didn't return after halftime. Tyler Huntley took over at quarterback in his place. Jackson was later seen leaving M&T Bank Stadium in a protective walking boot on his left foot, which definitely didn't make the situation look any better.

Head coach Jesse Minter said after the game that the team didn't yet know the full details of the injury. There had even been some initial discussion about Jackson returning if the Ravens needed him, but ultimately, he remained on the sideline for the second half. The Ravens were winning, so they weren't desperate to get Jackson back on the field for a game that was already going their way.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson injury brings a short response

Now, Jackson is saying something about the injury. He's opening up, albeit just with a one-word message.

During the game, Jesse Morse, M.D. shared video footage of the injury and his thoughts, stating, "Left high-ankle sprain, hopefully a mild grade 1. I expect him to miss the rest of the game if the high/medial ankle is sprained, especially since they're up 24-7. Not worth the risk."

On Monday, Jackson took to X to reply. He reposted the video with the one-word message, "Ouch," and an injured emoji.

Followers were quick to send their well wishes his way. So, Jackson's health will obviously be something to watch closely as the week progresses.
